SE Parent Teachers Meeting
The Second-Year Engineering (SE) Parent-Teachers Meeting was held on 23rd December 2024 to foster better communication and collaboration between parents and faculty for the academic and personal growth of students. Prof. Pratima R. Patil, Head of the Department of Information Technology, addressed the attendees and highlighted the department’s initiatives to enhance student learning, discipline, and overall development. She stressed the crucial role of parental involvement in supporting students during this formative stage of their engineering education. The meeting concluded on a positive note, reinforcing the shared commitment to student success through collective efforts from both educators and parents.
INDIAN ARMY DAY CELEBRATION
The Indian Army Day Celebration was held on 15th January 2025 to honor the valor, dedication, and selfless service of the Indian Army. The ceremony featured a keynote address by Colonel S. P. Sawant (Retired), who shared insightful experiences from his distinguished military career and emphasized the importance of patriotism, discipline, and national unity. His inspiring speech paid tribute to the brave soldiers who serve and sacrifice for the nation.
Student Development Session
A Student Development Session was conducted on 10th February 2025 with the objective of empowering students through motivation, skill enhancement, and academic guidance. The session was led by Dr. Hemant Deshmukh, a distinguished academician and mentor known for his impactful contributions in the field of education and student development. Dr. Deshmukh Sir addressed key aspects of personal growth, time management, career planning, and emotional well-being. He also interacted with the students, answering their queries and offering practical advice for overcoming challenges in both academic and personal spheres. The Department of Information Technology organized an Awareness Session on GATE Exam. The session was held on 28th February,2025 at SE Classroom from 10.30 am to 11.30 am. The students of 4th Semester from the department of Information Technology attended the event. The speaker from Mr. Shehasis Dey by ACE Academy, Pune delivered a fruitful knowledge on benefits of GATE Exam.
Industrial Visit to Sumago InfoTech Pvt Ltd, Pune
On 13th February, 2025 a visit was organized for a group of around 48 students from SE Information Technology Department, along with two faculty Mrs. Shweta Joshi, Mrs. Ketaki Jadhav, visited at Sumago InfoTech Pvt. Ltd located in Shivajinagar, Pune. The students started travelling from the college campus at 9.30am via college bus.Sumago Infotech accepted MOU with the TAE for 3 years for providing placement drives, Internships, Implant trainings for the students. Students asked several questions which were effectively and patiently answered by them. The Sumago Infotech provide the most effective and affordable services. This Company provide customized websites and software solutions. Sumago create innovative IT solutions and provide IT-enabled services.
Let’s Learn Latex
The “Guest Lecture on “Let’s Learn Latex” for Second Year Information TechnologyStudents was organized on 5th February 2025 at 11.30am. Dr. Suruchi DedgaonkarAssistant Professor in Information Technology, VIIT, Pune was the Speaker for Guest Lecture. She has started the basic structure and components of a LaTeX document, how to create and compile LaTeX documents from scratch, she has covered utilization of essential LaTeX packages and commands for formatting text, creating tables, inserting figures, and managing bibliographies. The session ended with an interactive question-answer lecture. More than 40+ students were present for the lecture.
Objectives: The objective of the workshop is to provide participants with comprehensive, practical knowledge of LaTeX,
Outcomes:
i) Students learned to create professional documents, including research papers, theses, reports, and presentations, using LaTeX.
ii)Students also learned the techniques for formatting, referencing, and customizing documents to meet specific academic and professional standards.
GATE AWARENESS SESSION
The Department of Information Technology organized an Awareness Session on GATE Exam. The session was held on 28th February,2025 at SE Classroom from 10.30 am to 11.30 am. The students of 4th Semester from the department of Information Technology attended the event. The speaker from Mr. Shehasis Dey by ACE Academy, Pune delivered a fruitful knowledge on benefits of GATE Exam.
TE Parent Teachers Meeting
The Third-Year Engineering (TE) Parent-Teachers Meeting was held on 23rd December 2024 with the aim of strengthening the collaboration between parents and faculty in supporting student progress and academic development. The meeting was inaugurated by Prof. Pratima R. Patil, Head of the Department of Information Technology, who addressed the gathering and emphasized the importance of transparent communication and joint efforts in fostering a positive academic environment. She provided an overview of the department’s goals, academic initiatives, and student performance. The meeting concluded with a shared commitment to guiding students towards holistic development and academic excellence.
Industrial Visit to CDAC, Pune
On 27th February, 2025 a visit was organized for a group of around 59 students from TE BE Information Technology Department, along with two faculty Mrs. Shweta Joshi, Mrs. S.A. Shaikh , visited at CDAC Pune located in Pashan , Pune. The students started travelling from the college campus at 9.30am via college bus.Students asked several questions which were effectively and patiently answered by them. The CDAC provide the most effective and affordable services. This Company provide customized websites and software solutions. CDAC create innovative IT solutions and provide IT-enabled services.
